“It’s midnight, and still no sign of her” says Madison. Her and her friend, Daniel, were looking for her lost puppy, Luna, for hours. It was so freezing they completely lost track of time. Hours felt like minutes. Daniel checked his watch. It was -7°.
They were about to finally give up, when a pack of coyotes showed up. They were surrounded. Madison saw a glimpse of a small animal, but it quickly vanished.
“But where did it go?” she shouted. She grabbed a stick, fought the coyotes, and found it, Luna.
The two rushed home and went to bed.
